About Me

Emily McLaughlin, under the username "Meorow" on her social media, is a mixed-media illustrator, with a preference for digital art and watercolor. She has earned her Associates in Fine Arts at Montgomery County Community College, and had the joy and privilege of being the Editor-in-Chief of the college’s art and literature magazine, producing the 2019 edition titled “Replications.” While in school she has also self-published her own book, Sionnach Abu: Fox Forever, through the funding of a successful Kickstarter campaign.

Currently she is in the process of earning a BFA at Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia (PAFA). As a Sales Assistant intern at the Brodsky Center at PAFA, she is helping the Associate Curator to develop and promote the works of internationally known artists including Barkley L. Hendricks and June Wayne. Illustration and books are her passion. In her free time, when she is not drawing, you may find her petting a cat or a plant; both are equally likely.
